The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
